CMCRC BOARD MEMBER HONOURED AT HEALTH AWARDS NIGHT

CMCRC Independent Board member Prof Christine Bennett AO has been recognised at the Research Australia’s Health and Medical Research Awards last night for her outstanding contribution to the organisation and the health sector in Australia.

Nadia Levin, CEO of Research Australia, spoke of Professor Bennett as a great champion of health and medical research in her role as Chair for Research Australia. Levin’s speech was accompanied by a montage of 15 years of photos of Professor Bennett’s contributions to the health organisation.

“I passionately believe in the value of investing in Health and Medical Research in Australia for the better health, hope and prosperity of our nation.’ said Professor Bennett.

Professor Bennett is Chair of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and sits on the boards of RetireAustralia and Lorica Health. Professor Bennett was selected in 2013 as a Finalist in NSW for Australia of the year.
