The CMCRC PhD Program provides a range of PhD scholarships for high achieving students to conduct industry-based research projects through our education partners, Federation University, Macquarie University, Southern Cross University, University of NSW, University of South Australia, University of Sydney, University of Technology and University of Western Sydney.
The CMCRC research program is supported by a number of industry partners across a range of fields, Finance, Health and Law Enforcement, who are based both in Australia and Overseas including Canada, Europe, Asia, and USA.
Finance Research Program
CMCRC Finance Research is about providing a better understanding of market quality by examining the efficiency (transaction costs & price discovery) and integrity (insider trading, market manipulation & broker client conflict) in the Financial Market to inform both policy makers and industry stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for users of capital markets.
PhD candidates typically come from a disciplinary background including

CMCRC Health Research is about providing a better understanding of market quality by examining the efficiency (service costs and provider discovery) and integrity (fraud, abuse, waste and errors) in the Health and Insurance Market to inform both policy makers and industry stakeholders to deliver better outcomes for users of health and insurance market services.

Eligibility Criteria
- Prospective PhD applicants should have completed a 1st class Honours degree, Master of Research (MRes), MPhil or other 2 year Masters degree with a major research component with excellent results.
- An exceptional academic record, strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work in a team environment.
- A valid visa or potential to obtain a student visa which is eligible for studying at an Australian University.
- Candidates should have strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills.
What does the Scholarship Provide?
Scholarships of up to $50,000 per annum tax-free for three years will be offered. The scholarship is a living allowance and does not cover tuition fees. Domestic students are currently awarded funded places in the degree program under the Research Training Scheme. International students can usually apply to their university or faculty for a fee scholarship, or fee waiver, and is decided by the university, not the CMCRC.
