Abstract: Nicolas will explore time trends in sleep over the decades that technology has intruded into our lives and examine data from laboratories, developed, developing and pre-industrialised societies about how we sleep. Nick Glozier is the Professor of Psychological Medicine at the Brain and Mind Centre, Sydney Medical School and a consultant Psychiatrist in Sydney LHD. He has research and clinical interests in the epidemiology of, and intervention for, mood and sleep disorders and their associated physical comorbidity, function and disability, particularly in young people and men. He trained at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and WHO. Currently he is a Chief Investigator in two NHMRC Centres of Research Excellence: – Youth Depression and Neurosleep, as well as a multimillion dollar Movember & beyondblue funded program, in which much of the focus is on the use of ICT for health interventions and its integration into clinical and work systems.
