CMCRC BOARD MEMBER MARY O’KANE WINS MEDAL FOR ENGINEERING
|The inaugural Ada Lovelace Medal is a new national award that recognises the contribution Australian women have made to the profession and to wider society.
“Mary O’Kane has made an outstanding and lasting contribution to Australia through her intellect, tenacity and commitment, and through numerous and diverse roles over the past 30 years,” said Mark Hoffman, Dean of Faculty of Engineering at the University of New South Wales, which created the award.
“I am very honoured to receive this award especially as Australia has many fabulous engineers who happen to be women,” said Professor O’Kane.
Acting CEO CMCRC Andrew Lepone congratulates Professor O’Kane, “(She) has made outstanding contributions to Australia, not only in her own fields of specialisation, but also by applying her vast experience to the Capital and Health markets space to promote and foster innovation.”
